It improves your memory. Your brain makes sense of all that you did and learned throughout the day while you’re sleeping.
It helps regulate your weight. Sleep deprivation causes poor regulation of the hormones that control your appetite. Sleep is also the ever important fasting period of the day— if you’re staying up late and snacking you’re going to eat more than you would if you just went to bed earlier before you even got a craving!
It can decrease your risk of diabetes. Studies have shown that sleep disorders or sleep deprivation increases your risk of developing diabetes.
Prevents disease. Sleep deprivation decrease immune function. It actually includes the activity of the killer cells that cause disease, and inhibits them from doing their job. Killer cells work by injecting cells infected with viruses with small cytoplasmic granules of proteins that target the cell in order for it to be killed off.

It’s been awhile since I’ve wrote anything on here but, I must say Jan. & Feb. have been very busy for me. I work from home but usually I did only a few things here and there so it didn’t feel like I was working. This past month and a half have been full of emailing, calling, designing for clients and somehow I also manage to go to a convention for 3 day which is out of this world for me because somewhere in there I also took care of household, baby and husband. In saying this I must confess my exercising has been minimal but I have been watching what and how I eat thankfully.
Almond milk has been my best friend :) it’s kept my hunger from going over the edge sometimes.
Today we are having chicken & white bean soup yummm full of veggies.
McDonald’s announced last week that, as of last August, is has stopped using ammonium hydroxide in the production of its hamburgers. MSNBC reports that the chemical, used in fertilizers, household cleaners and even homemade explosives, was also used to prepare McDonalds’ hamburger meat.
